Written by a legendary scholar of Renaissance esoterica, this is the single most important text in the history of Western occultism. Cornelius Agrippa (1486-1535) combined classical Neoplatanoic and Hermetic philosophy with elements of the Jewish Kabbalah and Christianity to form a systematic exposition of occult knowledge. Agrippa's view of divine order was subsequently eclipsed by the materialism and atheism of the Enlightenment, but 500 years later, his influential work endures as a cornerstone of mystic literature.

In serious, educated, and accessible terms, Agrippa defines occultism and magic as a natural means of attaining knowledge and power. His explanations of planetary rulershps, enchantments, sorceries, types of divination, and the interpretation of dreams offer an intriguing array of possibilities: improved health, prolonged life, increased wealth, and enhanced foresight. This inexpensive edition of the classic study offers students of the history of ideas and occult traditions an essential reference tool.

Taoists consider our sexual energy to be the creative force that we can use to regenerate the body's internal energy, but we must learn how to harness excess sexual energy and transform it into chi, or life-force energy. When we circulate the sexual energy in the Microcosmic Orbit, a continuous energy loop that runs up the spine and down the front of the body, we transform it into self-healing energy that can be stored in the organs and the three tan tiens: energy centers in the brain, the heart center, and the lower abdomen. The Alchemy of Sexual Energy shows how to transform this sexual energy into internal healing energy, building upon the Microcosmic Orbit practices discussed in Healing Light of the Tao.

The more we open the flow of our internal energy the more capable we are of connecting to the cosmic energy that exists outside ourselves in the universe. By learning to open the three tan tiens to the six directions, the Taoist practitioner combines mind power with the extensions of chi to draw cosmic energy into the body. This energy, too, can be stored in the three tan tiens and used as needed for healing. When we learn to flow in this way with the energy of the Tao, life ceases to be a struggle.

In addition to the fascinating biographical sketch drawn by Richard Kaczynski, author of the classic biography Perdurabo, this book offers Crowley’s teachings in his own words. A carefully chosen series of his instructions for concentration, meditation, magick, invocation, even sex magick are included. Crowley’s descriptions of the teaching Orders A:.A:. and OTO are presented, along with the Creed of EGC. In addition, a suggested reading list of Crowley’s “top-eleven” most important books is enhanced by an extensive bibliography for further in-depth research. This is the first and only introductory book that does not pretend to “improve” upon the Master’s writings, but attempts to showcase them into a coherent introduction to his spiritual system.

More mistruth and rumor has circulated about Aleister Crowley than perhaps any other figure in recent history. When the reporter Henry Hall introduced him to readers of the New York World Sunday Magazine, he wrote, "Some said that he was a man of real attainments, others that he was a faker. All agreed that he was extraordinary." Crowley openly defied social conventions, challenging people to examine what they really believed, and why they believed it. He confronted blind faith with rational skepticism. Yet he likewise challenged the skeptic with scientific illuminism, a systematic approach to spirituality that he described as "The method of science, the aim of religion."

Aleister Crowley and Dion Fortune were two of the most controversial and powerful occultists of the 20th century. Crowley was regarded by many as a creature of the night, albeit one whose soul was streaked with brilliance; Fortune was viewed as one of the Shining Ones, who nevertheless wrestled with her own darkness. Between them they produced some of the best books on occultism ever written, and their influence upon contemporary magicians has been profound.

Written by an occult scholar, this unusual and provocative book draws upon unpublished material to reveal little-known aspects of Crowley and Fortune's relationship, and their role as harbingers of sweeping cultural changes, foreshadowing the women's movement, the sexual revolution, and the 1960's counter-culture, as well as other surprising influences upon our present culture.

The myths and legends of ancient Egypt still reach out to us across nearly six thousand years with timeless and universal expressions of human hopes and fears that are sometimes quite familiar, sometimes quite strange. Without myth, the writing of history and our knowledge of the past would be impossible; without the writing of history, myth would be pointless. This informative and important book, first published by Lewis Spence in 1915, is a useful introduction to the study of Egypt. Within you'll find information on:

It's even rumored that the language may be an encryption method of some kind, unbroken to this day. This fascinating, in-depth analysis reveals the truth behind the saga of two Renaissance wizards who spoke with angels and received instruction in the celestial tongue.

Most Enochian dictionaries merely present word lists; this encyclopedic textbook presents a wealth of original material and expands upon (and corrects) previously published information. It is designed so that readers can actually learn the language and use it in their own magick.

For the first time ever, every Angelic word recorded in Dee's books, journals, and personal grimoire is recorded and cross-referenced in a number of helpful ways, allowing the reader to recognize root words, alternate spellings, and more.
The Angelical Language, Volume II includes notes about each word's definition, history or usage; both Dee's original marginal notations and new commentary by the author. Also presented are Dee's own phonetic notations, as well as a brand-new pronunciation key designed to make it easier to speak the language.

Arbatel is one of the most influential magical texts. Its many aphorisms are designed to guide us through a transition from an ordinary life to a magical life. It teaches that God created angels to help people, but that we need to learn how to attract and call upon them for help, both spiritual and material. The angels can not only help, protect, and heal, but the higher sciences can only be learned directly from them.

Arbatel also insists on the need to avoid superstition, and being constantly tricked and manipulated by evil forces which are always working against us.

This new edition includes the first English translation published since Turner's in 1655, and a fresh analysis utilizing important new research by Carlos Gilly, Antoine Faivre, and others. It illuminates many obscure points in the text, and explains the magical techniques employed and its influence on esoteric literature, including the grimoires and the theosophical movement. This text includes illustrations, bibliography, index, and the original Latin text.

Along with his written works, Aleister Crowley's legacy includes the organization he is credited with founding, the OTO or Ordo Templi Orientis -- The Order of Oriental Templars.

This book contains key introductory material to this contemporary occult society, along with a history of the Order after Crowley's death. The format of this edition matches that of the first Equinox series published with Crowley as editor and includes magical instruction, communications to OTO members (all the "dirt" on court cases the OTO has been involved in), and original works of fiction and poetry. As part of this latter category, this book features an illustrated study of the works of underground filmmaker Kenneth Anger with a complete filmography. It could be argued that Aleister Crowley (1875-1947) anticipated the entire New Age phenomenon with his methods of teaching, codified in the tenets of the OTO. A rich melange of ritual magic, traditional spiritual practice, drug use, and sex, borrowing from many different cultures and traditions, informed the development of this lasting magical system.

This book is a thick softcover, comprised of numerous books and source information.

Commonly referred to in magical circles as "the Abramelin," this 15th-century text of Jewish magic has come back, in its most complete form, to light the way for those who are brave and committed enough to channel the energies of the spiritual world and give harmony a chance to flourish.

Over 100 years ago, S.L. MacGregor Mathers, magician and member of The Golden Dawn esoteric order, introduced The Book of Sacred Magic of Abramelin the Mage to Western magicians. It was soon acclaimed as one of the few genuine magic books known to exist, a book with powers in and of itself, not just another collection of spells of dubious provenance. For over a century the Abramelin has served as an important part of every serious magician's library, for it presents a program of self-purification and initiation for achieving The Knowledge and Conversation of the Holy Guardian Angel. What most magicians and historians did not realize until now was that the French manuscript Mathers translated was an incomplete and inaccurate rendition of the original German Manuscripts.

As if guided by a mystical force, Georg Dehn followed a series of synchronistic events to find the extant editions of the original Abramelin, and from them he has distilled the most correct version to date. Here he combines his esoteric knowledge with that of Steven Guth's to create a new English text that is readable for modern-day seekers and yet preserves the ambience of Abraham's time. Those familiar with Mathers's edition will note some rather startling differences: an additional book of practical spells that was left out of the French translation, important distinctions in the Abramelin operation, and magical squares that were either incomplete or transposed incorrectly in the French manuscript.

Georg Dehn's and Steven Guth's Book of Abramelin marks a milestone in the transmission of magical wisdom, the restoration of a work of utmost importance. This special edition contains more than a magical text, it is a compelling combination of two quests, one ancient and one modern: The first is Abraham's tale of finding the mage, Abramelin, and learning from him the Secret and the Wisdom. The second is Dehn's quest, how he discovered the sources of the work and followed in Abraham's footsteps, both exoteric in traveling to Egypt in search of Abramelin's hermitage, and esoteric, as his studies brought about his personal transformation. Dehn ponders many interesting themes and questions: What are the parallels between Abraham's time and ours? Was Abramelin an actual person? Is he the key to Abraham's true identity, a famous rabbi who wished, in a time when Jews were feared and persecuted, to keep his true abilities hidden? Who is Lamech, the son to whom Abraham gave his magical wisdom? What are some of the practical applications for the magic word squares? Georg Dehn's research into the identities of Abraham von Worms and Abramelin the mage also goes a long way toward laying to rest the debates in Jewish scholarly circles over the authenticity of this text.

Thought lost for millennia after being banned by dogmatic, early Christian authorities, the book of Enoch remains one of the oldest extant mystical documents. It is referred to in the Hebrew Zohar, the Epistle of St. Jude, and is considered by some a very early draft of, or at least a critical influence on, the New Testament.

This is perhaps the most important text
not included in standard biblical Apocrypha, and includes the lost "Book of Noah," early references to a messiah as "Christ," and an accounting of the angels and subsequent creation of demons. The most significant part of this book is Enoch's vision of the Apocalypse. Credited as being only one of two prophets granted this sight, his version incorporates one very critical difference: instead of the righteous ascending into heaven and Earth turning into a place of punishment and damnation as in The Revelation of St. John, according to Enoch the wicked shall be cast out and the good will realize a literal heaven on Earth.

Various Enoch manuscripts and fragments have existed for years and have had wide influence on works ranging from John Dee's explorations in Enochian magic, to variant rituals attributed to the Freemasons, the Golden Dawn , and other secret, mystical societies. Enoch, the prophet, is the most often thought to be the pseudepigraphic author of the work, that is, the works of multiple authors were compiled under his authoritative name and attributed to him. He was noe of few, along with St. Paul and Elijah, reputed to have ascended to heaven in mortal form, without dying.

R.H. Charles was a noted theologian and scholar, with many of his reference works remaining in print today, and still of superlative scholarly value. His book,

This book is the introduction and foundation upon which all further magical work is based. Its simplicity, clarity and depth is without equal in occult literature.

                                                              Part I of
Book Four deals with Yoga in a very sound and methodical manner, stripping it of the mysterious and the glitter. Soberly, Crowley describes each step as a technique of mental and physical discipline, ultimately resulting in complete control of the will and with this, control of the physical and mental body.

Part II is an encyclopedia of magical symbolism. All of the paraphernalia employed in ritual magick are carefully explained in both psychological and mystical terms.

Crowley speaks with authority. He is one of the few writers on the subjects of yoga and magick who has attained Dhyana and Conversation with his Holy Guardian Angel through discipline and ritual practices. The laws and truths of the occult world which are presented here give the student on the path a sound working knowledge.
Book Four is a concise, direct and honest presentation.

Around the turn of the century, when Aleister Crowley was working out his system of Magick, the source that he turned to for basics was the system of Abramelin of Egypt. From Abramelin he took his concepts of protections, purifications, evocations, vestments, and dromena down to specific details

This system of Abramelin the Mage is known from a unique 15th century manuscript persevered in the Bibliotheque de l'Arsenal in Paris. In it, Abraham of Wurzburg, a cabalist and connoisseur of magics, describes a tour that he made of the then civilized world, visiting sorcerers, magicians, and cabalists, estimating their powers and virtues. This quest is in itself as fascinating as the similar tours of Gurdjieff.

The high point of Abraham's travels was found in a small town on the banks of the Nile, where he encountered the great magician Abramelin, whose complete system Abraham thereupon sets out in detail. This amounts to a complete course in ceremonial magic (both white and black), which the student can pursue by himself.

Abramelin, whose system is based mostly on Hellenistic theurgy of the Iamblichan sort, but with Jewish increments from the Cabala, explains the qualifications needed to become a magician, purifications and asceticism's to be practiced month by month, studies and activities permitted during this period, selections of place and time for working magic, equipment needed, prayers and formulas, evocation of good and evil spirits, commanding spirits, to do one's will, overcoming rebellious spirits, an similar material. Specific instructions are offered to develop such powers as clairvoyance, divining metals and treasurers, warding off evil magic, healing illness, levitation, transportation, rendering oneself invisible, creating illusions and glamour, reading minds, placing compulsions, working black magic, and a host of other abilities.

It's not easy to become a Wizard, you know. Not easy at all.

The twenty-two closely guarded secrets to becoming a Wizard have never been revealed before, not in the whole history of Wizardry. I'm not sure I approve. Still, they've given me the job of teaching you, so that's what I'm going to do. By the time we've worked our way through this official handbook of the Wizards' Guild, you will have learned enough to participate in the "Wizard's Adventure," a test of your magical knowledge found within these pages. If you successfully complete the adventure and crack the code, you will become an accredited member of the Wizards' Guild.

But first, we've got a lot of work to do. You have to learn how to make your own Wand and Wizard's Tools, discover your Wizard's secret name, and switch on Wizard's Power. Oh yes, and read your future in the Wizard's Oracle, practice Star Magic, discover the better times to work magic, and well, maybe we'd better get started.

Pay attention. Pay very close attention. Your Wizard's training is about to begin ...

A unique and humorous, and also practical, approach to the increasingly popular study of Qabalah. This is a seriously funny book! Traditional Qabalistic (or Cabalistic, or, indeed, Kabbalistic, read this book to find out what the difference is. . .we know you’ve always wondered) sources tend to be a bit dry. DuQuette spices up the Qabalah and makes it come alive, restoring the joy of learning the fundamentals of this admittedly arcane system by using simple, amusing anecdotes and metaphors. This account, written psuedepigraphically (fictitiously attributed to a supposed authority), allows DuQuette as Rabbi Lamed Ben Clifford to soar to outrageous heights and, when necessary, stand apart from the silliness to highlight the golden eggs of Qabalistic wisdom nested therein.

Sure to be a revelation to those who think that learning about the Qabalah needs to be tedious and serious, DuQuette shows that great truths can be transmitted through the medium of laughter.

The Clavis or Key to the Magic of Solomon is one of several notebooks from the estate of Ebenezer Sibley, transcribed under the direction of Frederic Hockley. Sibley was a prominent physician and an influential author, who complemented his scientific studies with writings on the "deeper truths" including magic, astrology, alchemy, and hypnotherapy. Both Sibley and Hockley were major inspirations in the occult revival of the past two centuries, influencing A.E. Waite, S.L. Mathers, Aleister Crowley, as well as the Golden Dawn, Rosicrucian, and Masonic Movements.

This collection reflects Sibley's teachings on the practical use of celestial influences and harmonies. The Clavis contains clear and systematic instructions for constructing magical tools and pentacles for many practical purposes. The Mysterious Ring gives directions for preparing magic rings. Experiments of the Spirits Birto, Vassago, Agares, and Bealpharos, show how to call upon angels and spirits, and perform crystal scrying. The Wheel of Wisdom gives concise directions for using celestial harmonies. The final text, the Complete Book of Magic Science, is closely akin to the Secret Grimoire of Turiel, but more complete.

With extraordinary hand-colored seals and colored handwritten text, with the only exception being the elimination of blank page, resulting in a 282 page, color copy of the original, marvelous text.

A collection of writings by the Ambrosian monk Francesco Maria Guazzo, the
Compendium comprehensively and penetratingly describes the entire practice and profession of witchcraft. First published in 1608, the commentaries came at an appropriate time. Contemporary accounts noted that witchcraft and sorcery had "spread in all directions," leaving "no country, town, village, or district, no class of society" free from the practice. This probing work, by a distinguished writer and scholar who perceived the devil as an evil force seeking to destroy men's bodies and souls, was an attempt to help man live piously and devoutly, thus guarding against such seductions and manipulations.

Reproduced from a rare limited edition published in 1929 and supplemented with may erudite editorial notes by Reverend Montague Summers, the Compendium Maleficarum includes profoundly serious discussions of witches' pacts with the devil, finely detailed descriptions of witches' powers, poisons and crimes ; sleep-inducing spells and methods for removing them, apparitions of demons and specters, diseases caused by demons, and other topics. Also examined in detail are witches' alleged powers to transport themselves from place to place, create living things, make beasts talk and the dead reappear; witches' use of religion to heal the sick, laws observed by witches to cause and cure illness, differences between demoniacs and the bewitched, and other subjects from the realm of the supernatural.

Originally considered a vital part of inspirational literature used by the early church, th Book of Enoch never made it into the canon of accepted books of the Old Testament because of its strange and mysterious content about Enoch's experiences in the higher realms, or heavens. The actual Book of Enoch< which is a set of almost 100 mystical tables, was given again to humankind in the 1580s, when it was conveyed directly by angels to Dr. John Dee, a 16th-century mathematician, scientist, occultist, and the astrologer of Queen Elizabeth I. Called "the most important book ever given to man by God" by Dee' angelic messengers, the Book (or Tables) of Enoch is said to hold all the secrets of heaven and earth and the physical and spiritual realms.

Decoding the Enochian Secrets reproduces for the first time ever the exact and complete copy of these tables, which are housed in the British Library. The tables are in the handwriting of Dr. Dee and Edward Kelly, Dee's assistant and scryer. Covering the history of this Book or Tables of Enoch, John DeSalvo explais the difference between these tables and the apocryphal Book of Enoch and examines how later magicians such as Aleister Crowley used them. Including Enochain magic meditations and rituals and a reconstruction of the possible 49th missing Table of Enoch, Deconding the Enochian Secrets presents the source text to the most powerful form of magic known to mankind.

Occult scholar Michelle Belanger has compiled the most complete compendium of demonic names available anywhere, using both notorious and obscure sources from the Western grimoric tradition. Presented alphabetically from Aariel to Zyntextyur, more than 1,500 demons are introduced and explored, with many of them cross-referenced by theme and elemental or planetary correspondence. This meticulously researched reference work also features fascinating short articles on demonology and a wealth of woodcuts, etchings, and paintings depicting demons through the ages.

The Egyptian Book of the Dead is unquestionably one of the most influential books in all history. Embodying a ritual to be performed for the dead, with detailed instructions for the behavior of the disembodied spirit in the Land of the Gods, it served as the most important repository of religious authority for some three thousand years. Chapters were carved on the pyramids of the ancient 5th Dynasty, texts were written in papyrus, and selections were painted on mummy cases well into the Christian Era. In a certain sense it stood behind all Egyptian civilization.

In the year1888 Dr. E. Wallis budge, then purchasing agent for the British Museum, followed rumors he heard of a spectacular archeological find in Upper Egypt, and found in an 18th Dynasty tomb near Luxor "the largest roll of papyrus I had ever seen, tied with a thick band of papyrus , and in a perfect state of preservation." It was a copy of the Egyptian Book of the Dead, written around 1500 B.C. for Ani, Royal Scribe of Thebes, Overseer of the Granaries of the Lords of Abydos, and Scribe of the Offerings of the Lords of Thebes.

This Papyrus of Ani, a full version of the Theban recension, is presented here by Dr. Budge, who later became perhaps the world's most renowned Egyptologist. Reproduced in full are a clear copy of the Egyptian hieroglyphs, an interlinear transliteration of their sounds (as reconstructed), a word-for-word translation, and separately a complete smooth translation. All this is preceded by an introduction of more than 150 pages. As a result of this multiple apparatus the reader has a unique opportunity to savor all aspects of the

For millennia, Egypt, the dark land, has been considered the home of magic. The feats of her priests and magicians were renowned throughout the ancient world, from the simplest legerdemain (according to present interpretation) to the heights of necromancy and sorcery. Even their most severe critics, the ancient Hebrews, admitted the power of Egyptian magic. In the famous sorcerers' duel between Moses and the Egyptian priests before Pharaoh, he Egyptians were almost as skilled as Moses.

Egyptian Magic by E. Wallis Budge, long curator of Egyptian antiquities at the British Museum, sums up everything that is known about the wonder-working of ancient Egypt. After a general discussion of the role of magic in Egyptian religion proper (to control the gods) Dr. Budge covers the powerful amulets that warded off evil spirits; the scarabs of immortality; the use of wax images and spirit placements; magical pictures and formulas; magic via the secret name; magic of sounds; rituals; curses; destruction of hostile magic; determination of fortunate dates; and many of the other practices used by the ancient Nile dwellers.

Dozens of magic formulas are given in full, both in the original Egyptian sounds, as far as they can be recreated, and in English; dozens of excerpts are also given from the magical papyroi, tomb inscriptions, and other sources. Many wonderful tales are told in these Egyptian stories; mind control, enforcing will upon animals, suspended animation, calling up the dead, finding ancient books of incredible magical power, and other miraculous events that we may or may not believe.

Dr. John Dee (1527-1608) was one of the greatest minds of the Elizabethan Age, and his system of angelic communication was the result of the most dramatic magical operation ever recorded. It has survived to become the cornerstone of the modern ceremonial magician’s practice. In 1582 Dee and his clairvoyant partner Edward Kelley made magical contact with a number of spiritual entities who identified themselves as angels, the same that communicated with Adam, Enoch, and the patriarchs of the Old Testament. Over the next three years they revealed to Dee and Kelley three distinct magical systems of vision magick. The third and last of these incorporated a series of "calls" to be recited in an angelic language in order to raise the consciousness of the magician to a level where angelic contact is possible. Best-selling author and magician, Lon Milo DuQuette, who has practiced Dee’s system for over twenty-five years, has seized upon elements of the original Dee material overlooked by adepts of the Golden Dawn, Aleister Crowley, and other modern magicians, and brought them to light in Enochian Vision Magick. DuQuette offers the expert and novice alike the practical means by which they can become attuned in the same simple step-by-step manner that first prepared Dee and Kelley. There has never been a book on Enochian magick like this one.

Compiled in the late sixteenth century by the chief justice who served as France's most ruthless inquisitor, this is the definitive witch-hunter's handbook. It recounts the trial proceedings and accusations (making pacts with the devil, shape-shifting, and other practices of sorcery) for which countless social outcasts were tortured and condemned.

Between the fifteenth and eighteenth centuries, tens of thousands of Europeans were accused of witchcraft, tortured, and executed. This volume, based on Chief Justice Henry Boguet's extensive courtroom experiences, was published in 1603. Contemporary theologians and canonists hailed it as an excellent and timely treatise. The well-known, modern-day occult expert Montague Summers edited this edition and provides an informative introduction. Summers praises the author as "vivid and graphic in his details, keenly logical in his arguments, and elegant in his expressions." Occult and Wiccan scholars will find Boguet's testament an indispensable source of historic information.

                                                              • Liber Malorum Spituum seu Goetia

This was owned by Dr Thomas Rudd, a practicing scholar-magician of the early seventeenth century. There are many editions of the Goetia, of which the most definitive is that of Joseph Peterson, but here we are interested in how the Goetia was actually used by practicing magicians in the 16th and 17th century, before the knowledge of practical magic faded into obscurity.

To evoke the 72 demons listed here without the ability to bind them would be foolhardy indeed. It was well known in times past that invocation and ligatio, or binding, was a key part of evocation, but in the modern editions of the Goetia this key technique is expressed in just one word "Shemhamphorash" and its use is not explained.

This volume explains how the 72 angels of the "Shemhamphorash" are used to bind the spirits, and the correct procedure for safely invoking them using special dual seals incorporating those necessary controlling angel, whose name is also engraved on the breastplate and Brass Vessel.

There have been many grimoires attributed to St. Cyprian of Antioch due to his reputation as a consummate magician before his conversion to Christianity, but perhaps none so intriguing as the present unique manuscript. It is highly unlikely that the text is by the historical St Cyprian, but this does to detract from its extraordinary contents.

This manuscript (unlike the more rustic Black Books of Wittenburg as found in Scandinavia, or the rather Catholic texts disseminated under his name in both Spain and Portugal) is directly in line with the Solomonic tradition, deriving input from the

It is unique in that instead of being weighed down with many prayers and conjurations, it addresses the summoning and use of both the four Archangels, Michael, Raphael, Gabriel, and Uriel, a swell as their opposite numbers, the four Demon Kings, Paymon, Maimon, Egyn, and Oracus (Oriens) in a very direct way. The later are drawn in t heir animal and human forms along with their sigils, a resource unique amongst grimoires. Metatron appears as an even more powerful archangel than the usual four.

The text is in a mixture of three magical scripts, Greek, Hebrew, cipher, Latin, and reversed Latin with may contractions and shortforms, but these are expanded and made plain by the editors. The title of the anuscript,

On the heels of his widely successful trilogy of works honoring H. P. Lovecraft, Donald Tyson now unveils a true grimoire of ritual magic inspired by the Cthulhu Mythos. The Grimoire of the Necronomicon is a practical system of ritual magic based on Lovecraft's mythology of the alien gods known as the Old Ones. Fans of Lovecraft now have the opportunity to reliably and safely get in touch with the Old Ones and draw upon their power for spiritual and material advancement. Tyson expands upon the Old Ones' mythology and reintroduces these "monsters" in a new, magical context—explaining their true purpose for our planet. As a disciple, you choose one of the seven lords as a spiritual mentor, who will guide you toward personal transformation. Grimoire of the Necronomicon features ritual forms and invocations for the daily and yearly rites of the Old Ones, individual rituals devoted to each of the seven major figures of the mythos, and most importantly, a grand ritual for personal attainment. The daily rituals provide an excellent system of esoteric training for individual practitioners. This grimoire also provides structure for an esoteric society—Order of the Old Ones—devoted to the group practice of this unique system of magic. This is a 194 page trade softcover book.

In 1904, The Book of the Law declared the advent of a new period in the course of human history - The Aeon of Horus or Aeon of the Child. The doctrine codified in the Book of the Law and the numerous other Holy Books known as Thelema revealed Aleister Crowley as the Prophet of the new Aeon.

Drawing on more than 30 years of experiences as a student and teacher within the Order of the A;. The Kabbalah, a mystic Hebrew doctrine, had its origins in antiquity. It is hinted that it was "taught by God Himself to a select company of angels, who formed a theosophic school in Paradise." It is true that the Kabbalah has grown in importance without interruption, embracing the Christian world also. It is defined as being the esoteric Jewish doctrine. It is called in Hebrew QBLH (Qabalah), derived from the root QBL (Qibel), meaning to receive. This appellation refers to the custom of handing down the esoteric knowledge by oral transmission.

In the present work of many Hebrew or Chaldee words are used in the text. A table has been appended showing at a glance the ordinary Hebrew and Chaldee alphabet (which is common to both languages) and the Roman characters. The principal doctrines of the Kabbalah are designed to solve these problems: 1. The nature and attributes of the Supreme Being; 2. The Cosmogony; 3. The creation of man and angels; 4. The nature of the soul; 5. The nature of angels, demons, and elementals; 6. The import of the revealed law; 7. The transcendental symbolism of numerals; 8. The peculiar mysteries contained in the Hebrew letters; 9. The equilibrium of contraries.

After the publication of this work in 1888, Mathers began to organize his esoteric school.

The Key of Solomon is the most famous, or infamous, of magical textbooks. Although the grimoire is of unknown origin, Mathers, who prepared this edition from seven manuscripts in the British Museum, believed it was written by King Solomon. The King instructs his disciples in incantations that summon and master the spirits. The process of summoning these beings illustrates the extraordinary complexity of Western ritual magic - choosing a time and place; preliminary prayers; fasting and preparations; as well as the need for magical equipment, robes, and trappings. Included in this edition is a new foreword by R.A. Gilbert, esoteric scholar and antiquarian bookseller. Gilbert highlights the importance of the Key as a primary source for those interested in Western ritual magic, as well as the historical background and contemporary magical contexts of Mather's editorial work and commentary. Enochian Magic is a powerful, ancient system for opening portals to heavenly realms and enabling the ascent to God. The basis for many of the modern systems of magic, including the Golden Dawn, Enochian magic is named after the biblical prophet Enoch. Enoch received the same knowledge and wisdom that was later conveyed by angels in the 16th century to Dr. John Dee, the astrologer to the court of Queen Elizabeth I.

The Lost Art of Enochian Magic John DeSalvo traces the history of magic, from the earliest civilizations of the Akkadians and Egyptians through the Greco-Roman period, and up to the present time, to reveal how magic has penetrated and influenced our religious beliefs and practices today. Through his unprecedented investigation into the angelic magic of Dr. John Dee, during which time he deciphered Dee's original phonetic notations in the margins of Dee's 16th-century diaries, Desalvo learned to properly reproduce the "Enochian calls," which act like mantras in opening higher realms and invoking angels, key to this type of magical practice. DeSalvo shows how to use Enochian magic for personal spiritual development and also as protection from negative energies. In addition to providing detailed instructions for performing the magical meditations, this book include a 20-minute cd that demonstrates and offers guidance in the correct pronunciation of the Enochian calls used in the practice of Enochian magic.

A great work of literature a well as pioneering classic of occultism, this voluminous historical survey traces the roots and manifestations of magic through the ages as a secret tradition persisting from remote times. Author Eliphas Levi, pseudonym of Alphonse Louis Constant (1810-75), was a leader of the French occult revival, spiritual teacher and magus who is considered by some to be a founding father of the New Age movement. One of his most stunning (and original) revelations connects the Kabbalah with the Tarot, thus helping to inspire the ongoing fascination with the symbols of both, and their correspondences with each other. In this 1860 work, Levi's discussions include topics that continue to intrigue modern readers, subjects as seemingly disparate as the mathematical magic of Pythagoras, magical monuments, magic and Christianity, the devil, the Knights Templar, alchemy, the illuminati, hallucinations, and many others that are equally alluring.

The first part of the book explains the principles underlying magical operations, while the second part addresses the actual ritual and practice of transcendent magic. An essential resource for the library of anyone interested in mysticism and the occult sciences, this influential work appears here in its first English translation (from the original French) by the distinguished scholar and co-creator of the Rider-Waite Tarot deck, A.E. Waite

Aleister Crowley devoted twenty-five years to writing and producing the four parts of this book. It is his magnum opus, in which he systematically expounds the mystical and magical theories and techniques taught in his magical orders, the AA and the O.T.O.

This profusely illustrated new edition brings together the complete texts of all four parts of Liber ABA (Book 4) in one volume under the overall title Magick. This edition incorporates Crowley's own additions, corrections, and annotations, and restores dozens of passages omitted from the first editions.

Magick is the fundamental textbook of modern magick in the New Æon. It also has invaluable teachings for students of Yoga and meditation. Crowley mastered the practices of Yoga during his studies in the East, and writes about them lucidly, without recourse to the imprecise language of mysticism.

Beginning with a discussion of the universal origin of world religions in mystical revelation, Magick then explores the theory and practice of mysticism and magick in the light of modern scientific thought. Crowley's own revelation, The Book of the Law, is then treated as a case study, with an autobiographical study of events leading to its reception.

Extensively cross-referenced and annotated, this edition features over 100 diagrams and photographs, as well as a glossary, bibliography, and detailed index. This second revised one-volume edition features revisions based on new typescripts for a more accurate text than all earlier editions, and it includes a revised AA curriculum, a new syllabus of the O.T.O. papers, and an important, previously-unpublished AA paper.

He then challenges the reader to put this knowledge into practice by offering initiated commentaries upon Crowley's most popular and celebrated rituals. The Magick of Thelema is without question the least intimidating, most amusing and user-friendly guide of the works of Aleister Crowley ever written. It is truly a handbook of the rituals of Crowley and as such is an indispensable addition to every magickal library. Paperback, 248 pages.

Michael Constantine Psellus (1018-1096 c.e.) was one of the more noted writers and philosophers of the Byzantine era. The byzantine domain was effectively the eastern Greek-speaking part of the old Roman Empire, centered on Byzantium (Constantinople, modern Istanbul), which split off from the Latin West in 364 C.E.

Up until the arrival of the Arabs in the 7th century, the Byzantine empire was regarded as one of the strongest economies of Europe, particularly known for being the primary western terminus of the famous silk road from China. Its intellectual legacies also derived from the long Greek occupation of Egypt, bringing with them a mix of Graeco-Egyptian magic and classical Greek philosophy. These influences later helped lay the foundations for the Italian renaissance, and the grimoire tradition.

Psellus was a man of great intelligence, serving as a political advisor to a succession of Byzantine Emperors. He became the leading professor at the newly founded University of Constantinople, bearing the honorary title "Consul of the Philosophers" and was the driving force behind the university curriculum reform designed to emphasize the Greek classics, especially Homeric literature. Psellus was adept in politics, astronomy, medicine, music, theology, jurisprudence, physics, grammar, magic and daemonology.

Within this rare work, Psellus takes this knowledge and forms a bridge between the classical view of the daemon as a beneficial guiding spiritual presence, and the later Christian view of demons as intrinsically evil.

Now this classic work has been extensively edited, annotated and expanded, making Regardie's original insights and his version of the Golden Dawn magical techniques even more accessible and relevant to modern-day students of practically any tradition.

Now in this marvelous new edition of Regardie's classic study, they blend their expertise with his and demonstrate their commitment to the philosophy of the Order by giving us access to the psycho-spiritual theory that underlies its magic. They are, indeed, true magicians of the Golden Dawn."

Book two of this volume contains conclusion that are not the authors alone, but the consensus of opinions arrived at independently by many learned students of religion of the Ancient Nation of Israel and of the Old and New Testaments. Also known in some circles as the Simononicon-so named for the fact that there is no known author and it is introduced by a man known only as "Simon"-the Necronomicon has long been the focus of a great deal of controversy. Though some would contend otherwise, Simon maintains that the book works to identify the entities known as the "Great ones" of Lovecraft Mythos, linking them to gods and demons of ancient Sumeria. It also contains within its pages formulae for spiritual transformation, consistent with some of the most ancient mystical processes in the world, processes that were not public knowledge when the book was first published, and involve communion with the stars. Viewed by so many as a powerful grimoire, the first edition sold out before it was published and the Necronomicon has never been out of print since then.

Thirty one years later the original designer of the 1977 edition and the original editor have joined forces to present a new, deluxe hardcover edition of the most feared, most reviled, and most desired occult book on the planet. They join together in the 31st Anniversary edition to provide for you not only the original Necronomicon texts but translations of spells found within it, notes on pronunciation of the languages contained therein, supplementary material to 777 (the work by Aleister Crowley), common words in Sumarian translated to English, and notes upon the effectiveness of banishing as it pertains to the entities mentioned within the Necronomicon.

Filled with important notes for Necronomicon enthusiasts, this 218 page hard cover book is a wonderful celebration of the original.

In Goethe's lifetime, he was regarded as the most knowledgeable man in the world with expertise in history, literature, botany, astrology, biology, alchemy, and cosmology. The secret weapon in Goethe's intellectual arsenal was this book, Opus Mago-Cabbalisticum Et Theosophicum, never before translated into English from the original German. In the immortal play Faust, the pensive protagonist broods upon the "vainness" of earthly knowledge before opening a book of magick and resolving to become a magician. The very book that moved the real-life Goethe and the fictional Faust was Opus, with its revelatory secrets of alchemy, astrology, and the history of magick as well as those of Rosicrucianism, esoteric Freemasonry, the Illuminati, and the Golden Dawn.

Now, for the first time in over 300 years, this extremely rare book is available to general readers-a rare treasure of esotericism and one that was the seminal text for much of the modern Western Mystery Tradition. Georg von Welling's
Opus Mago-Cabbalisticum, a veritable bible of esoteric thinking, is divided into the three parts and each section is devoted to one of the three elements: "Salt" is about creation and even includes theories about Adam and Eve and the origins of life; "Sulfur" speaks of the universe as it exists now; and finally "Mercury" is a portrait of prophecy, of what is to come, including the Apocalypse. For von Welling, and those he influenced, alchemy is about unleashing the secrets hiding in the material world. Opus Mago-Cabbalisticum is more than just a book of magick: it is a mystery school manual and the key to unlocking the secrets of this world and the next.

Georg von Welling was born in Schwaben, Bavaria, in 1655. He worked as the director of the Baden-Durlacher Office of Building and Mines until 1723 and died in 1725 in Frankfurt. Von Welling was primarily known for his book

The authors have discovered what happened to one of John Dee's most important manuscripts, his book of personal angelic invocations which he kept in Latin, and how it was preserved and developed by 17th century magicians into a full working magical system. Only a small part of this material reached the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn in the 1880s. Even this was then suppressed by the chiefs of the Order, and it did not appear in Israel Regardie's monumental work on the Order rituals.

They have also traced how the classical techniques of invocation and evocation drawn from late mediaeval grimoires, were passed through John Dee's magic, via Elias Ashmole, to the aristocratic angel magicians of the 17th century, including some of the most powerful and influential figures in England.

In the 20th century many fanciful constructions were added to Golden Dawn Enochian. Even writers such as Aleister Crowley were seemingly all unaware of the completely developed system that already existed, and which is here published in full for the first time.

One of the few practicing alchemists in the modern era, Robert Allen Bartlett explains what the ancients really meant when they used the term Philosopher's Stone and describes several very real and practical methods for its achievement. Is the fabled Philosopher's Stone an Elixir of Long Life or is it a method of transforming Lead into Gold? You will be able to judge for yourself after reading this new book on laboratory alchemy. Included are dozens of ancient formulae and experiments. Also included is a Bibliography and Full Index.

Bartlett has been a practicing alchemist for almost forty years and was a student of the twentieth century's most highly recognized alchemist, Frater Albertus, at Paracelsus College beginning in 1974. After receiving his degree in Chemistry in 1979, Bartlett was appointed Chief Chemist at Frater Albertus' Paralab. He has worked as a miner of antimony in Idaho and as a geochemical assayer for the mining industry. He is an Adept Level member of the International Alchemy Guild.

Sepher Rezial Hemelach is the long -awaited first English translation of this famous magical text; a translation from the ancient Hebrew in a rare and complete 1701 Amsterdam edition. According to the Hebrew legend, the was presented to Adam in the Garden of Eden, given by the hand of God, and delivered by the angel Rezial. The Myth thus suggests that this is the first book ever written, and of direct divine provenance. A diverse compendium of ancient Hebrew magical lore, this book was quite possibly the original source for later, traditional literature on angelic hierarchy, astrology, Qabalah, and Gematria. Moses Gaster mentions this in his introduction to The Sword of Moses suggesting that Sepher Rezial could be a primary source for many magic an qabalistic books of the Middle Ages. Sepher Rezial Hemelach is a compilation of five books: "the Book of the Vestment," The Book of the Great Rezial," "The Holy Names," "The Book of the Mysteries," and "The book of the Signs of the Zodiac." It includes extensive explanatory text on the holy names of God, the divisions of Heaven and Hell, the names and hierarchy of the angels and spirits, as well as the symbolic interpretations of both the Book of Genesis and Sepher Yetzirah. It also includes material on astronomy, astrology, gematria, and various magical talismans, most notably those used for protection during childbirth. In his introduction, Steve Savedow details the history, bibliographical citations, and lineage of this famous work. He lists the old and rare manuscripts still in existence, and provides a bibliography of other reference works for study of the Western esoteric tradition.
The release of this contemporary English translation is a landmark even for students of magic and the ancient Hebrew tradition.

As such it is one of the earliest grimoires produced in this series. It begins with directions for making the parchment, pen and ink of Art, required to write the names. It contains seven separate treatises:

Liber Clavis which is concerned with astrology and its correct use in magic, something long forgotten by modern astrologers, with the precise interactions between planets, signs and houses.

This is something left out of almost all other grimoires.

Of all the popular handbooks of magic, The Sixth and Seventh Books of Moses is perhaps the most influential. It has become quite important in American folk magic, being extensively used by Penssylvania Dutch hexmeisters, Hoodoo practitioners, African-American root workers, withes of various sorts, and rural Germans and Swiss among others. It is also widely used by practitioners of obeah (folk magic of the West Indies), as well as West Africa. Gerald Gardner, arguably the founder of modern Wicca, owned a copy.

Why is it so popular? One reason may be its claim of biblical roots. Another is undoubtedly its sinister reputation. Folklorists have collected many reports of its successful use, but frequently practitioners are claimed to have become ensnared by it. A glance through the pages tend to support the view that an evil magic pervades it, with plague spells and the sinister Faustian materials. Constantly alluded to in popular European tradition as diabolical writings, it has the reputation of being powerful but evil in American folklore as well.

Here Peterson constructs this edition by reviewing all of the previous editions and comparing them for consistency, clarity, and deviations. Chapters included in one edition, but missing in others, are bound together for completeness. Extensive endnotes, commentary, and introductory material place the Sixth and Seventh Books of Moses in their historical context, as well as give meaning to what was previously barely decipherable material, making this edition a more comprehensive and more easily understood version of the ever-popular writings.

This work includes the complete unabridged version with the variants of the Nine Great Keys, a vital early 17th century manuscript detailing the invocation of the Archangels and nine Orders of the Angels. The full practical techniques of summoning the Archangels, details of the hierarchies of spiritual beings, and how the full Enochian system fits in with the Angelic and Demonic hierarchies are all covered, as well as the theology and philosophy associated with Angelic magic, giving the context that these magical practitioners were working with.

It includes the evocation of the four Demon Princes and their role within the traditional system of magic. This book deals clearly with the full continuum of spiritual creatures from Archangels through Angels to Demon Princes (Fallen Angels), to Olympic Spirits and Elementals. This is presented in practical detail, with much rare manuscript material being made available in print for the first time.

Before the advent of Christianity, early civilizations had, at the heart of their spiritual traditions, Mystery schools that offered a course of training methods in what is now called magic. The persecution of heresies that followed the establishment of Chrisitanity as Rome's state religion, a persecution that reached its high point during the Middle Ages, forced the degradation and disappearance of this training system. While the knowledge of these Mystery traditions, jealously guarded by secret societies, has begun to emerge, the actual techniques and practices of spiritual magic have remained hidden. The Temple of High Magic provides the practical knowledge of these techniques for modern spiritual seekers who wish to incorporate the proven esoteric techniques of the magic into their lives. This book explains the dynamics of group ritual and solo practice as well as the critical role played by the Kabbalistic Tree of Life, the key to inner knowledge. Ina Custers-van Bergen shows that temples of high magic are not mere physical structures but are the inner edifices willed into being by a sustained meditative practice and pathworking, using key symbols from ancient Hebraic and Egyptian traditions. Sometimes called the Yoga of the West, this spiritual magic is a system of esoteric development that seeks to create full union between the magician and the divine.

Each sacred site is a portal to the ancient wisdom that can assist the modern-day pilgrim with everyday life issues and struggles (such as love, purpose, money and health) and the deeper questions of enlightenment and our divine origin.

For example, the temple of Sakkara is associated with abundance; the temple of Abydos with remembering. The initiations in this book awaken intuition and the

Hoffman's guided meditations, rituals, and exercises also raise the reader's vibration level, as we move from the Piscean to the Aquarian age. Embodying the wisdom of the open heart of these temples imparts a shift in consciousness from fear to bliss, from powerlessness to empowerment, opening the body, mind, and spirit to the infinite possibilities within. John Peacocke explores the roots of this fascinating combination and conveys its deeper meanings as never before. In beautifully illustrated chapters with such titles as “The Bell and the Thunderbolt,” “The Secret Teachings,” and “The Circle of the Cosmos,” he shows how spirituality permeates Tibetan life, and suggests how Western readers can seek a life free from greed, hatred, and delusion.

Yet amazingly, only one version of it has ever been published, by S L MacGregor Mathers, over 100 years ago. What Mathers may not have known is that there were much more detailed and complete versions of this grimoire available in many other languages.

Alchemy is the ancient sacred science concerned with the mysteries of life and consciousness as reflected through all Nature. It is a harmonious blending of physical and subtle forces which lifts the subject, whether it be man or metal, to a more evolved state of being. The Way of the Crucible is a ground-breaking modern manual on the art of Alchemy that draws on both modern scientific technology and ancient methods.

A laboratory scientist and chemist, Robert Allen Bartlett provides an overview of how practical alchemy works, along with an exploration of the theories behind its practice. The author also explains what the ancients really meant when they used the term "Philosopher's Stone," and describes practical methods towards its achievement.

The Way of the Crucible provides directions for a more advanced understanding fo the mineral work, what some consider the true domain of Alchemy, often avoided in modern alchemical texts.
